We are grateful to host a successful AMA session with some of the members in the Playverz community.
Here are some quick highlights from the AMA session.
Q: $PLVZ utility and mechanism.
Firstly, gamers can enter games with $PLVZ and they will be able to win more tokens. This is the first utility.
Aside from that, gamers can actually use $PLVZ tokens to purchase real estate, which allows the real estate owners to be able to run their own tournaments and earn from it. So this is the second utility.
The third utility would be NFT purchases. So what will happen is that we will be working with NFT game developers to have exclusive NFTs on the Playverz app.
The fourth token utility is on staking, and there are two things.
One, gamers can actually stake their tokens to be able to win a higher percentage of tokens in return. So there are membership tiers that gamers can actually stake on.
The second thing would be staking for game integrity. So gamers can actually state to ensure that games are of high integrity. What will happen is that if there are any issues, say for example, if any gamer finds that there’s someone who is using a bot, the other party will have their staking forfeited. This ensures that there’s actually no integrity issues in our game.
The fifth thing would be that gamers can actually use $PLVZ to back upcoming games. So, in a way, we are like a launchpad because we will be working with a lot of NFT game developers down the road.
And lastly, ultimately we have to move into a DAO structure, Governance structure. So, this is where the $PLVZ token will allow token holders to play a part in the company’s roadmap.
The $PLVZ token is deflationary. This will allow the token holders to benefit. We believe that the token utility is tied to the value that a platform can provide. So this is where for us, we will be focusing a lot on building the right product and acquiring users on playverz. So that in the long term, all the token holders will benefit from the rise of the token price. There won’t be a burning mechanism. A percentage of the tokens earn via gameplays will be redistributed back into the economy.
Sub Q: Will there be a splitting mechanism for the tokens earned
Yes, there will be. So in terms of token earnings, what will happen is a portion of it will go back into the market, and the rest will go to treasury for staking yields and other opportunities.
So these are some things that we are doing with the tokens to ensure that in the long term, the value is not just tied to hype, but also tied to the value of the product that we are providing.
Q: Will there be tournaments for intellectual games such as chess, checkers, texas hold em?
So what’s going to happen is that Playverz is going to be launched with 10 games initially and more games added every month.
Playverz will be launched about one to two months after the IDO. The game genres will include shooting games, puzzle games and more. Some of these are, like you said, the intellectual games. So there will be games plus Esports tournaments for these games, on our mobile app launch.
Q: Is it possible to make a unique in game shop for rare items inside the games or rare gaming NFTs that can be bought with $PLVZ tokens?
“There will be and we will also be working with third party NFT games to have unique and exclusive items on the Playverz NFT marketplace. So this is something that is really exciting. We are already in talks with third party NFT game developers to be on our platform.”
Q: Are there any competitors out there? Similar gaming platforms?
We are tracking the market closely and we think that the most of the other platforms out there are just too early. So we don’t really worry about competition. Having competition validates that there’s demand for the space we are in.
For differentiation, we focus on user experience, partnerships, gaming content and more.
Secondly, we are providing tools for game developers to come into the Web3 space. So game developers can actually integrate their games on our platform, and be able to earn extra from the Web3 space.
We are also making it easy for gamers to be able to find communities on the platform. These communities includes guilds, gaming groups etc.
So there are a lot of differences we are focusing on in comparison to the others competitors out there.
Q: How are we planning to build the community?
So the first phase is how do we build the community leading up to the IDO. The second phase is how to maintain the community and keep building the community after the IDO.
For the first part Pre IDO, what will happen is that in the coming weeks we will see the series of partnership and partners that we will be working with to drive up the community, in preparation for the IDO.
We will also be running our referral and reward programs which you’ll see in the coming weeks.
Post IDO, we will accelerate the growth of the community by driving users from our fiat gaming app to the Playverz app. We will be running some free Esports tournaments to drive gamers to Playverz too.
Our partnerships with WhatToPlay will be important too. WhatToPlay have more than 700K followers across their social media channels. So we will be working with them on a series of videos to drive awareness and education on Web3, such as how to buy tokens etc. This will help new gamers to navigate their way into the ecosystem.
The other thing that we will be doing is to partner with Web 2 game developers and gaming studios, and help them enter the Web3 space. So this is where we will also be able to access their community and drive additional users onto Playverz.
