Playverz has recently concluded a successful AMA hosted by Kommunitas
Here’s a recap on the AMA session.
SEGMENT 1: INTRODUCTION QUESTION
Question 1: Before we dig deeper into your project. Please introduce yourself and your project. What is Playverz? Why did you choose that name? Is there a story behind it?
Zad: Hello everyone 😊 I’m Zad who oversees marketing and community at playverz. Currently based out of Singapore. I previously spent some time as a regional digital marketer at a telco company in Malaysia and 2 years in Vietnam running a HR gamification startup
Saurabh Sharma: I am Saurabh who oversees tech & product at Plavyerz. I am working in Tech domain for 10+ years. Prior to this, I was working with Grab Singapore for 3+ years. And before that I was working with Google India.
Zad: Together we previously started a gaming app with more than 200K users around southeast asia and we’re bringing our experience to playverz.
The name playverz was chosen because we wanted to create a universe where gamers can escape too to play and have fun.
Playverz is your play to earn entertainment hub where you can play and compete across hundreds of games titles on the platform and discover communities.
Question 2: Can you briefly describe about your project to our KOMmunity? And what are the problems it’s trying to solve?
Zad: Sure, I’ll start with the problems we are trying to solve. Currently there is a high barrier to entry for NFT games. Firstly, it is difficult for gamers to find a suitable game to play in the market. Gamers typically have to go through hundreds of YouTube videos and discord channels to find a game that fits their skills and taste.
Secondly, It costs hundreds of dollars to purchase the NFT characters and items necessary just to get started for most games.
Thirdly, it’s very difficult for new gamers to be using crypto wallets and swapping tokens to start playing.
Lastly, once started, gamers have to spend very long hours gaming to earn. Sadly alot of the current play-to-earn games are not necessarily fun.
With these problems in mind, we saw an opportunity to build a portal to the P2E world, an accessible platform for all gamers to be able to play, earn and connect
To make p2e games more accessible we are removing the hassle of using crypto wallets and we are helping gamers discover the games they are interested all through our data driven platform.
As a gamer you can access more than a hundred game titles on Playverz mobile app, use your NFTs and manage all your earnings in one platform.
Question 3: What utilities does the token have? And what benefits will token holders get?
Zad: There are 6 main utilities for the Playverz tokens.
Firstly, users can enter games and esports tournaments with their PLVZ to earn more PLVZ
Secondly, users can buy real estate to host their own tournaments in the future and customize experiences for the Playverz community.
Thirdly, users can stake the tokens to access membership privileges such as higher yields and exclusive content such as special chat features or exclusive NFT drops from us and our partners.
Fourth, gamers can buy NFTs within the Playverz marketplace
Fifth, holders can access private sales of upcoming games that we are partnering with.
Lastly, playverz token is a governance token that allows holders to able to participate in the future of Playverz
We will also continuously expand the utility of the tokens to drive value to holders
Question 4: Are there any strategic partners that you can share? Most investors look for projects with great partners. The more reputable and well-known partners, the more confident they will be to invest in your project.
Zad: We are in discussions with a few well known partners currently and we’ll announce subsequently. But we have onboard industry leading partners such as Enjinstarter, Launchpool, Polygon and some of our advisors include Marc from Enjin, Chase from OPgames, who are all very experienced in the blockchain industry.
Question 5: Can you share some details about recent major achievements done by your project? Also, what are the future roadmap & targets of your project?
Zad: Aside from having great partners onboard, we recently had a wildly oversubscribed token sale on Launchpool platform and our community is growing rapidly, we are grateful for the support and trust we are getting from the community.
We will be doing our launchpad sale and public sale soon and thereafter we will be launching the playverz app with 10 games initially and will continuously expand our game titles in the future by working with more game developers. To grow the playverz ecosystem further, we will be announcing a series of collaborations with influencers and other partners soon too.
We also have plans to partner with local partners in different regions to make it accessible for gamers in these regions to start playing and earning on Playverz.
SEGMENT 2, LIVE QUESTION
Question 1: Can you please share the main reason of choosing Polygon Network for Playverz? What was better than in Polygon when you compare it with Solana, BSC and Ethereum? Will you add more chains in the future?
Saurabh Sharma: We wanted to choose a network that can support millions of transaction with low gas fee so users won’t have to worry about money lost on gas fee. So, we picked polygon to start. But we will be adding support for more chains like BSC very soon in future.
Question 2: Smart contracts are susceptible to failure and many projects fall victim to this, costing users money and the project discrediting. How reliable and secure is your smart contract? Have you tested it through any of the parties?
Saurabh Sharma: Agree, smart contracts are more prone to hackers as code is wide in open. That’s why we are sitting up super A team from top tier companies to build a strong tech. Also, we are in discussion with a reputable audit firm to audit our smart contracts before launch. So, don’t worry, our community is in safe hands. 😊
Question 3: Almost 80% investors have just focused on price of token in short term instead of understanding the real value of the project. Can you tell us on motivations and benefits for investors to hold your token in long term?
Zad: I like this question. While there are alot of hype out there, ultimately we believe that building a good product, building what users want and making it accessible for users to enter playverz is the key to driving long term value and appreciation of the $PLVZ tokens which will benefit token holders.
Saurabh and I came from companies that were successful focusing on building something amazing and providing value to users. We are bringing this spirit and mentality to playverz.
Question 4: Many projects have problems with UI / UX and this one turns off new users. How do you plan to improve the interaction with new users and with users outside the crypto space?
Saurabh Sharma: Couldn’t agree more. Currently the whole user experience on web3 is not good enough due to so many complexity involved. It’s like early days of internet. That’s what we plan to solve first on Playverz. We want to build a Grandma solution, that is, it should be simple enough that Grandma can handle it easily.
And that’s why we are in it for long game. We aim to build a product which user enjoy and play daily, instead of just pump and dump. 😊
